Scholars are selected based on merit, that is the mode of selection. Award amounts range from $500 – $5,000, based on relative need.

TO COMPLETE YOUR HSF APPLICATION, YOU’LL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS.
- Your FAFSA and Student Aid Report.
- School transcript
- Enrollment Verification from your who. Check with the admissions office about this
- Financial aid award letter from the college you are enrolling in. The HSF uses this to determine your award amount but not whether you receive a scholarship.
- Letters of recommendation. You will need at least one academic recommender or none academic.

If funds are available, you may be eligible for a scholarship as an HSF Scholar and have access to HSF’s vital Scholar Support Services.
From a large and brilliant pool of candidates, the HSF chooses over 10,000 excellent students each year as HSF Scholars.
Career services, mentoring, leadership development, knowledge building, and wellness training are just some of the excellent Scholar Support Services available to HSF Scholars.
Internships and full-time employment with HSF business partners are part of the career services offered by the foundation.
All Scholar Conferences, including the STEM Summit, Finance Conference, Media & Entertainment Summit, Entrepreneurship Summit, and Healthcare Summit, are open to HSF Scholars who are interested in participating.

Finally, and perhaps most crucially, the HSF distributes more than $30 million in scholarships each year. HSF Scholars may also be eligible for a scholarship, ranging in value from $500 to $5,000, which is given directly to the recipient.
- Must be of Hispanic heritage
- S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university,or graduate school, in the US, for the 2022-2023 academic year
- Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable.
