This is to notify the general public that applications for the UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP (USU) for the academic year 2022-2023 are now available.
Prospective students, including first-year and transfer students, may apply for a range of scholarships at Utah State University.
Many scholarship opportunities for incoming students do not require any action on your part to be considered.
When you apply to the university for admission, you are automatically considered for these awards. Academic/merit scholarships are awarded based on your academic achievements prior to enrolling at USU. Some academic awards are restricted depending on which USU campus you attend or if you are an international student.
HOW TO APPLY FOR USU SCHOLARSHIPS
When logging into the USU General Scholarship Application, follow these 4 simple steps:
- Accept Terms and Conditions (first time logging in).
- Complete Outstanding questions (gray bar at top of page) to be “matched” to more scholarships.
- Review “Partial Match Scholarships” and complete additional questions.
- Complete “Applications” for scholarships you match for.

USU SCHOLARSHIPS REQUIREMENTS
For transfer students.
Transfer Application Requirements
- Minimum GPA:
The minimum GPA requirement for transfer admission consideration is 2.3 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Official Transcripts:
All official transcripts from any college/university attended must be submitted with the Admission application. Applicants with less than 24 semester credits must submit their high school transcripts.
- SAT Scores:
Applicants with less than 24 semester credits must submit their ACT/SAT score as part of their application package.
- Letters of Recommendation:
Letters of recommendation are not required.
- Essay:
An essay is not required.
- Application Fee:
There is a non-refundable $50 application fee.
- Interview:
An interview is not required.

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM.
Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior graduating in 2021 with a minimum 3.5 GPA. A personal portfolio including two sealed letters of recommendation must be submitted with the application. Applicants should be a well-rounded student who has strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in team environments, and displays enthusiasm for Utah State.
Applicants must agree to attend USU the entire 2022-2023 academic year before requesting a hold on the scholarship. Unless a hold is requested and approved, the applicant agrees to use the scholarship in consecutive semesters (summer excluded). Applicants are encouraged to apply by December 1, 2021 in order to have an A# to access the ambassador application and return it by the deadline.
Amount: Full tuition and student fees each semester for eight semesters

Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund 2022
UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY AGGIE INVOLVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP.
Criteria: Involvement scholarships are awarded to those students who have demonstrated qualities of leadership and have made superior contributions to their school and community. Scholarships are based on the applicant’s achievement in extracurricular activities, leadership, and service. Recipients of the involvement scholarship will have the opportunity to attend Aggie BLUE fall leadership and other leadership courses, join campus clubs and organizations, and will be invited to live in Leadership House (an on-campus living/learning community).

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP.
Criteria: Applicant must have a parent or a grandparent that attended Utah State University and earned an associate degree or higher. Applicants must meet the general scholarship eligibility requirements. Applicants must be a capable student, involved in school, community, or other activities, and show leadership and volunteer experience. Applicants must be admitted to Utah State University.

DON CORBETT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (WOMEN ONLY)
Criteria: This scholarship is by invitation only. The invitation will be based on the information that is given on the application for admission. Designed for females, majoring in Engineering and who will attend Utah State University. A strong background in math and science is required. Applications will be available in February.
